Safeguarding & Risk
Protecting the rights and wellbeing of the people we support is our highest priority.
Our Safeguarding Responsibilities
Safeguarding means protecting an individual’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. We are committed to preventing harm and to responding promptly and effectively if we have any concerns.
All our staff receive comprehensive safeguarding training and understand their duty to report any concerns through our clear, confidential reporting pathways. We work in close partnership with local authority safeguarding teams and other statutory bodies.
Proactive Risk Management
We believe in proactive, positive risk management. Rather than avoiding risk, we work with individuals to understand what is important to them and identify potential risks. We then develop person-centred strategies to manage these risks, enabling people to live the life they choose, safely.
- Initial and ongoing risk assessments for every individual.
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans where required.
- Environmental and situational risk assessments.
- Clear escalation procedures for emerging risks.
Safeguarding and Regulation
Our safeguarding duties are a core part of our commitment to CQC compliance and providing safe, high-quality care.
