Last updated: March 2026
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that HomeCare Direct Ltd has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chain.
Our Commitment
HomeCare Direct Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We recognise our responsibility to be vigilant and to act with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We are committed to ensuring there is transparency in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains.
Our Organisation
HomeCare Direct is a CQC-regulated provider of personalised home care services. We operate across England, employing care workers and support staff who deliver nurse-led care to individuals in their own homes. All our employees are subject to rigorous recruitment processes including right-to-work checks, DBS checks, and reference verification.
Steps We Have Taken
To ensure that modern slavery is not taking place in our business or supply chains, we have taken the following steps:
- Robust recruitment procedures including right-to-work verification, identity checks, and enhanced DBS screening for all employees
- Employment practices that comply with UK employment law, including payment of at least the National Living Wage
- Whistleblowing procedures that allow staff to report concerns in confidence without fear of retaliation
- Staff training to raise awareness of modern slavery indicators and reporting obligations
- Due diligence procedures for new suppliers and regular review of existing supply chain relationships
- Clear contractual terms requiring suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015
- Regular review of our policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective in preventing modern slavery
Policies
We have a number of policies in place that contribute to ensuring modern slavery does not occur within our organisation, including our Safeguarding Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Recruitment & Selection Policy, and Code of Conduct. These are reviewed regularly and updated as necessary.
