Sadie’s Inspiring Fun Run Journey

At HomeCareDirect, we are constantly inspired by the strength and determination of the people we support — and Sadie is no exception.

Recently, Sadie took on the King’s Lynn Fun Run, a community event known for bringing people together with a shared spirit of enthusiasm and support. But what made Sadie’s participation so remarkable was not just the finish line — it was the journey she took to get there.

Despite being a wheelchair user, Sadie was determined to take part, proving that physical limitations are no match for passion and purpose. With the support of her care team, friends, and family, she completed the fun run with a beaming smile and a heart full of pride.

💪 But Sadie wasn’t just running for the medal. She was raising funds for something close to her heart — her passion for horse riding. Riding gives Sadie freedom, joy, and connection, and being around horses is something that has brought her confidence and happiness for years.

Her long-term goal? To build up her strength so that one day, she can walk the entire fun run course — a dream she’s working towards with incredible determination. And in doing so, she hopes to raise even more awareness and support for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), a charity that makes the magic of horse riding accessible for people with disabilities.

Through sponsorship and donations, Sadie is helping ensure others can experience the same joy and empowerment that riding has brought to her life.
