Clinical Operations Director & Registered Manager
19 years in care · 3 years as Registered Manager · 10 years as Clinical Trainer · clinical background spanning A&E, acute medical wards and spinal injury rehab.
I've spent 19 years in the care sector, and a deep commitment to person-centred practice runs through everything I do. I began my career at 18 as a Personal Assistant for a young woman with autism, working within the principles of the Son-Rise Programme — an experience that laid the foundation for my whole approach to care.
At 23, I qualified as a Registered General Nurse. Since then I've worked across a wide range of healthcare environments — A&E, acute medical wards, spinal injury rehabilitation. I've spent 10 years as a Clinical Trainer, seven years as a Clinical Lead, and have been a Registered Manager for the past three years.
I care deeply about supporting both the people receiving care and the teams delivering it.
Before nursing, I joined the British Army at 16 as a combat medic. Though I wasn't able to complete my training, it ignited a lifelong passion for mental health and wellbeing that runs through everything I do today. I'm a strong advocate for staff wellbeing — because when the people delivering care feel valued and supported, that translates directly into the experience of the people receiving it.
I love crafting and getting lost in a good book.
My role at HomeCare Direct brings everything together — the clinical rigour, the trainer's eye for what really helps people, and the long-held belief that everyone deserves to make their own choices about their care.
